Barbour Family Custom Home Nearing Completion

Barbour Family Custom Home Nearing Completion

Back in July, the Barbour family began their journey of building a custom home. Now that October is coming to an end, so is their home building process. They are in the final phases of building their home and the reality of this being the home they will raise their family is very exciting.

Most recently, the interior and exterior have been painted, the hardwoods floors have also been installed, the bathroom vanities and tile surround shower have been completed. “After months of looking over samples of flooring, paint, cabinets, tile; this is all becoming a reality for our family”, said Karen Barbour. “I’m just so excited to celebrate the holidays in our new home.”

Clint and Karen have really enjoyed the process of building a home with L & S Contracting. They have been able to customize this floorplan to make it a home their family can grow in over the years. Curtis Sebastian, co-owner of L & S Contracting, has offered his expertise and advice on different ways they could make changes to the original floor plan. One major change they decided was to enclose the space that was blueprinted for the covered patio. This will give them additional space in the family room. They also decided to add built-in cabinets on either side of the fireplace, allowing for additional storage and shelving. In the half bathroom, Karen found an antique dresser and refinished it to be used as the vanity. They also decided to move the garage entry to the side of the house.
